The driver gave chase after hitting a power pole, abandoning the pickup in Lehigh Acres

Soldiers are searching for the driver who left the scene of the crash after hitting a power pole in Lehigh Acres early Friday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the unidentified driver of the pickup truck was traveling eastbound on SR-82 around 1 a.m. when the truck veered off the right side of the road and collided with the truck. hit a pole near 40th Street Southwest. The driver continued east and abandoned the pickup on Rod and Gun Club Road.
The driver fled on foot. Anyone with information regarding this accident is asked to contact FHP or Crime Stops in Southwest Florida.
