The Dolphins coach was criticized for “unprofessional” actions on the sidelines as Miami was eliminated from the NFL playoffs

MIKE McDaniel has come under fire for poor clock management in the Miami Dolphins’ wild card loss to the Buffalo Bills.

And some NFL fans think they know the reason for the team’s sloppiness after watching video that appears to show Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, 39, during the game.

Miami played without star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who remains on the NFL’s concussion record.

But the Dolphins caused plenty of trouble for the Bills on Sunday, coming down from a 17-0 deficit and taking the lead early in the second half.

Eric Rowe fired Josh Allen and forced a fumble on Buffalo’s first possession of the third quarter.

Defensive end Zach Sieler then recovered and returned for a touchdown to make it 24-20 for Miami.

Not long after, Fox Sports cameras caught McDaniel moving his headset to one side before the head trainer seemingly hit the vape hidden in his glove.

The Dolphins later turned the ball over on crucial possession after earning a game delay penalty.

And some NFL fans thought McDaniel’s alleged steam had something to do with the game’s disappointing ending.

One tweeted: “That’s why he couldn’t bring the piece in.”

Another wrote: Wow! So unprofessional.”

A third said: “That’s pretty wild actually, I’ve never seen that lol.”

And another tweeted: “That explains a lot!”

After the Bills hit back and regained the lead, Jeff Wilson Jr. found the end zone to make it a one-ball game again early in the fourth quarter.

And with just under four minutes left, the Dolphins received the ball with a chance to seal a shocking win over Buffalo.

But Miami failed to bring the necessary personnel onto the field in a 4th and 1 situation about two minutes later.

The mistake pushed the Dolphins back five yards and they turned the ball on downs after an incomplete pass from backup quarterback Skylar Thompson.

The Bills then ticked off the clock to seal a 34-31 win and a divisional round matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
