The disgraced millionaire P&O boss was given a six-month driving ban for speeding

Disgraced P&O boss Peter Hebblethwaite was banned from driving for six months for speeding.
Branded a “shameless criminal” at a parliamentary hearing into the summary dismissals of 800 staff, Hebblethwaite has been disqualified for various offences.
The millionaire boss, 51, has been banned for scoring at least 12 points when he joined the ferry company in January 2019.
He reportedly informed P&O of his ban, which expired shortly after he was hired.
He came to the company from the Greene King pub chain.
But a source said: “If P&O had taken a harder line, he might not have gotten the job and they might not have fired all these people.”
P&O Ferries said his ban was “fully understood” when he joined.
The source added: “People now think it’s bitter irony that he was labeled a criminal in Parliament when he had that on his file.
“It was an open secret in the hierarchy at P&O when he told them about it, but they accepted him and let him work anyway.
“In the beginning he had to use drivers and public transport to get around.”
