The disfigured Instagram model required reconstructive surgery after dentist gave her “free facial fillers to promote the clinic.”

THESE are the shocking images that show an influencer left deformed and unrecognizable after a free botched cosmetic procedure.

Mariana Michelini, who has 15,000 Instagram followers, is suing a dentist after her face was disfigured by “facial harmonization”.

The pictures show a former glam girl whose beauty has captured the hearts of many, now with a damaged face.

Photos taken after the procedure show her face bloated, swollen and covered in stitches.

The procedure was performed for free by a dentist in Matao, southeastern Brazil, in December 2020.

Facial reshaping uses non-surgical procedures such as botox and hyaluronic acid fillers to modify facial features.

The influencer underwent the procedure in exchange for promoting the dentist’s services on social media.

Six months later, her face began to swell alarmingly and her skin became discolored.

She required painful reconstruction surgery on her damaged face and has now said she is dealing with the aftermath.

She said: “My life has stopped, I’m mentally broken – I just want my face back.

“I suffer greatly, but I trust that justice will be served. I don’t want other people to have to go through that.”

The 34-year-old said she assumes hyaluronic acid was used, but a dermatologist determined in June last year that she had in fact been injected with polymethyl methacrylate.

The PMMA fillers have been linked to serious complications such as chronic inflammation, fibrotic nodules, skin yellowing and eyelid misalignment.

According to local media reports, around 90 percent of the botched cosmetic procedures involved PMMA fillers.

Amidst treatment to restore her face, Mariana is now suing her dentist over the botched procedure.

She believes she can prove in court that the filler she was injected with was not what she was promised.

She will also claim that the botched procedure allegedly resulted in negative effects on her appearance, mental state and finances.

However, the dentist who performed the procedure has reportedly filed a lawsuit barring identification of the dentist and the dental office.

The dentist is also suing Mariana for moral damages and defamation.

According to the State Chamber of Dentists, dentists are authorized to carry out facial harmonization.

Despite the obvious risks associated with cosmetic surgery, women continue to have the procedure done.

A Brazilian is also suing a dentist who left her a rotten face after a botched nose job.
