On Friday, emergency workers arrived at an unspecified location on Hartford Street and Harris Street in Eaton to find Scottie with his mother Felicia, scanners show the Daily Mail.

Friday night’s audio explains how the 14-year-old was with his mother wearing the same clothes he was last seen in, including the t-shirt calling him a “liar”.

“I have him with mom. He is still wearing the same clothes that we had in the description,” the emergency scanner explains.

It’s unclear if Scottie was first spotted by volunteers, who then gave his location to authorities; However, Felicia was with her son before the police arrived.

The encouraging news came around 10.50pm when Eaton police revealed Scottie was found safe about a five minute walk from his home.

Eaton police released a picture of Scottie when he was declared missing showing him in the t-shirt while visibly upset, sparking an outcry online.

Officials later removed the picture, clarifying that it was taken during a “disturbing” punishment at the hands of his parents, Felicia and Brian Morris.

However, Chief Jay Turner claimed the family had cooperated from the start and said they were subjected to a lie detector test.
