The series takes place approximately 40 years before the title character sets out on a quest for revenge.
Therefore, Keanu Reeves will not appear as the aforementioned character.
The Continental is the hotel chain in which many scenes in the franchise take place.
The Continental belongs to John’s friend and enemy Winston Scott and serves as a haven for assassins.
At the beginning of the prequel timeline, The Continental is managed by Cormac; played by Mel Gibson.
The plot of the series tells of Winston’s rise to power and how he became the owner of the hotel chain.
“We’ve always loved this world and really wanted to explore it, and that’s how we came up with the idea,” said showrunner Erica Lee.
