The Central PA Humane Society is hosting the Paws in the Park Festival

ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) – The Central PA Humane Society is hosting a Paw in the Park festival this September and your furry friends are welcome!

The festival will be held on Saturday, September 16 from 12pm-8pm and Sunday, September 17 from 11:30am-4pm at Legion Park in Hollidaysburg. You can buy tickets here.

Here are the ticket prices:

  • Adults Only Balloon Ride – $20
  • Combo Paw and Balloon Ride – $25
  • Balloon ride under 12 years old – $15
  • Combo Paw and Balloon Ride (under 12) – $20

The festival features hot air balloon rides (attached), train rides, a fastcat dog run, a foam machine, a car show, live music, a petting zoo and a Frisbee dog team. There will also be a variety of providers for all to enjoy.

In the event of bad weather, the hot air balloon rides will be postponed and a new date announced. However, if you are unable to attend the new date, a refund will be given.

On Saturday there is a beer tent, car show and bands (TOY the Band, The Pines and R2 B2). On Sundays there is a petting zoo, a touch-a-truck demonstration and a golf ball drop.

Dogs are welcome at the event, but may only be kept on a non-retractable leash.
