The brother of missing ex-NFL star Sergio Brown is issuing a warning after his mother was found dead behind his home, and the desperate search continues

THE brother of a missing ex-NFL star has warned people to stay away from the area where their mother’s body was found.
Sergio Brown’s family raised the alarm on Saturday as they had not heard from the former player or his mother.
On Sunday, Sergio’s mother, Myrtle Brown, was found lifeless behind her home by local police during a wellness check.
The search for her former New England Patriot football player son, 35, is still ongoing.
Myrtle’s body was found in a stream near her home in suburban Chicago, Illinois.
The family initially searched the house on Saturday.

According to Sheila Simmons, Sergio’s aunt and Myrtle’s sister, that search was unsuccessful and the family later searched again when they found Myrtle’s body by a stream.
“We will find out what happened because it is not normal for my sister not to answer the phone or respond to text messages. People have been reaching out to her since Friday. Nobody could reach her,” Simmons said WGN TV.
“Now I got the call this morning I said she was missing, so I immediately came here and found out my sister was dead.”
The medical examiner ruled Myrtle’s death a homicide, saying the woman suffered multiple injuries consistent with assault.
She had just turned 73 on September 8th after returning from a year Group tour to Aruba.
Below News Her other son, Nick Brown, posted about Myrtle’s death on Facebook Celebrate her memory.
“Thank you everyone for your willingness, your help, your love and your condolences,” he wrote.
“It is a sad but hopeful time and we will all get through this together. Mom always told me, ‘Hard times don’t last,’ and our recent conversation about how hard times are temporary is a glimmer of hope for me.”
“Mom, thank you for being strong, caring, hardworking, edgy, funny and for saving my art. I won’t let you down,” he added.
With Sergio still missing and police asking anyone with information to come forward, Nick pleaded with his brother to come home.
“My brother Sergio is still missing. If anyone knows where he is, I want them to know that I love you and to please come home,” the post reads.
Nick also issued a warning to the public.
“Guys, please don’t come near the property, the Maywood Police Department is still investigating,” he pleaded.
“If you have any information regarding Sergio’s whereabouts, please send it to the Maywood Police Department.”
Friends and family responded to Nick’s post, sharing fond memories of Myrtle and offering their condolences.
“Your mother was such a beautiful, elegant lady! My condolences go out to your friend and I pray that your brother is found safe and sound,” someone who knew Myrtle commented.
“She was the absolute sweetest yet wildest woman! I’m sooooo sorry, Nick! I am so sorry. I’m praying for you and the whole family,” another person familiar with the family shared.
Neighbor says
Myrtle’s neighbor, Carlos Cortez, said he last saw the mother and Sergio on Thursday, but police found interesting footage on the doorbell camera.
“They see him taking out the trash and they see him starting a bomb fire where he burns all their clothes.” Cortez explained.
The Brown-Simmons family had said that Sergio’s behavior in recent months was wrong.
“They said he hasn’t been himself for the last few months. He was crazy,” said Cortez.

The neighbor also said police were outside the house when they found Myrtle’s body.
