Cannigione is a small coastal village in Sardinia with a picturesque beach – and a popular spot for snorkeling and diving.
It comes after a British tourist was found dead at the bottom of a cliff in Italy after a walk last year.
Gerard Christopher Turner, 56, went solo hiking with his family in Lezzono, near the Alps, Italy, while on vacation.
His family then became concerned when he did not return.
Around 50 men searched the mountains, including volunteers and technicians from the Alpine rescue service, firefighters, civil protection and carabinieri.
Firefighters and police officers also dispatched canine units to search for him.
Then drones were deployed and they managed to find Turner’s body at the bottom of a cliff.
