KARIM BENZEMA scored a sensational hat-trick against Chelsea despite being fasted for Ramadan.
The Real Madrid forward is currently celebrating Ramadan as part of his Muslim faith.
However, fasting did not detract from his performance.
In fact, he thinks it might even make him stronger.
Recently quizzed by Esquire about the impact of Ramadan on his routine, schedule and exercise regimen, Benzema revealed there is none.
He said: “No impact, Ramadan is part of my life and my religion obliges Ramadan.
“For me it is very important and I feel good when I fast.”
When asked what he was grateful for, he replied, “I’m grateful that I’m in good health.”
Benzema, 34, was in red-hot form as Madrid sped past Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Frenchman converted a sensational header in the 21st minute before beating Edouard Mendy with another just moments later.
