It certainly wasn’t a quiet Saturday. Right off the bat, we get the news of a potential Marvel universe MMO, which looks like it’s already in development. Then Cyberpunk 2077 topped the Steam bestseller chart, and we found out that the GTA trilogy might just be a mobile port. Yeah, it’s a wild thing.
DC Universe Online developer may be working on a Marvel three-A MMO
Like the TV and movie services, we’ll drown in Marvel’s video games. Spider-Man has finally been added to Marvel’s Avengers, Wolverine is getting its own game, and Midnight Suns is set to expand the franchise into the tactical RPG genre. However, it seems that Marvel is not done yet. Content creator @mmmmmmmmiller discovered in a financial report that an IP Marvel-based MMO in development at Dimensional Ink Studios.
Outer Worlds 2 has been in the works for at least two years
The Outer World 2 reveal trailer poked fun at the fact that it had absolutely nothing to reveal. We know it’s in development for sure, but that’s the truth about it. That shouldn’t be too surprising at first, as most of us assume it’s in its early stages and will have a lot more to show for itself. However, a recent report shows that it’s actually been in development for two years – Obsidian only keeps secrets to himself. Admittedly, the company has a lot going on right now, especially with Avowed, so it’s possible that this sequel isn’t really a priority.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now the best seller on Steam
It may take a year, but Cyberpunk 2077 is finally saw some success! Well, now the price is halved anyway. Turns out that was all it took. However, we couldn’t play CD Projekt Red that much, because not only did it sell well, but it also got really good reviews the first time around. Recent reviews are at “Very Positive”, bringing the total since launch to “Mostly Positive” – much better than 2020. CD Projekt Red thanks new fans for their support household.
Analysts claim that Xbox Series S is the most popular console on Black Friday
PlayStation 5 will probably ship more units overall, but it looks like Xbox is the winner of Black Friday. Or at least its cheaper, disc-free counterpart is: Xbox Series S. This consumer analysis comes from the Adobe Digital Economy Index, which comes to this conclusion through looking at over a trillion hits. into retailers and survey 1000 customers about what they bought. With all the hardware deals available yesterday and over the weekend, it’s quite a surprise that the Series S comes out in first place – but a surprise should make Microsoft happy.
Looks like GTA Trilogy is a modified version of mobile portals
Well, it wouldn’t be aggregate news without a GTA story, would it? Today, a GTA Youtuber came across an unused menu for touchscreen controls, showing that the so-called Definitive Edition is actually just a Modified versions of previous mobile portals. This hardly satisfies fans, who are currently speculating that this is the cause of the game’s various problems. However, it is worth noting that a mobile port of the trio is planned, so this could be made for that. On the other hand, though, this is actually the same trick Rockstar pulled with the HD re-release of San Andreas in 2014, so who knows what’s going on here.
Being able to update isn’t always a good idea.
