The biggest game news for November 14, 2021

Happy Sunday everyone. It’s been a pretty quiet day in terms of big new announcements, but there are plenty of exciting community stories, game updates, and weird corporate decisions that keep us all busy. With stories about Skyrim, GTA, Halo, and Super Mario 64, it’s anyone’s guess what year it is, but let’s take a look at the biggest news of the day.
Halo Infinite’s multiplayer is no longer rumored to release on November 15 after an “11 hour delay”
You’ll need to wear your tinfoil hat for this one. Over the past few days, Xbox insiders have announced that 343 Industries will be releasing Halo Infinite multiplayer on November 15, nearly a month before the main game’s December 8 release. already supported by Xbox Store codes and Pringle promotions, but some of the original insiders are now claiming that the release has been indefinitely delayed to the “11th hour”. What a roller coaster.
TikTok adds AI Disney voices, but they can’t say gay, lesbian or gay
TikTok has added a selection of Disney AI voices – including Rocket Raccoon, C-3PO, and Stitch – so users can write down sentences for them to voice over. Strangely, none of them can say gay, lesbian or gay – as all those words are registered like oath – unlike any other AI voice on the service. Maybe they’re being seen as obscenities because they can be used as slurs, but in 2021 you expect better planning from the big companies.

Prior to its release, many players had bet that GTA Trilogy’s Switch port would look and run significantly worse than other consoles, but considering how the game was received as a whole… eesh, yes, it’s a lot worse on Switch. Players are reporting poor draw distance, frame rates that keep dropping below 30fps, and “blurry” graphics. It’s not exactly the mobile GTA dream we’ve all been wanting for years – at least it disappoints on some consoles.
Fans are divided on whether Skyrim’s fishing is really good or not
Skyrim has been recently re-released as an Anniversary Edition and its biggest addition is fishing. Similar to real life, players are not sure if it’s really good or not. Some of the positives listed for fishing include how beautiful the scenery is thanks to the very specific places you can do it and the fact that it makes you stop and smell the roses. On the other hand, some players call it boring, shallow and limited mechanical.
Super Mario 64 Speedrunner beats world record 16 stars in just one second
Super Mario 64 speed racer Suigi broke the world record of 16 Stars in 14 minutes 55 seconds, managed to grab the exact one-second record. 16-Star is just one of the many speeding categories for Super Mario 64, but it’s great to see the record beaten by just a second.
