Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

Reinaldo Rueda, coach of Honduras, presented this Friday to Morazánico Holiday the official list of the 23 players called up who are aiming for a place in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Copa América.

The Honduran national team will face its Cuban counterpart in the Concacaf Nations League on October 12th and 15th, where the Bicolor will first visit the Caribbean team in the Dominican Republic and meet three days later in Tegucigalpa.

Among those summoned there are notable losses, surprises and even the return of several legionnaires who were on Diego Vázquez’s lists.

In detail, the names Kervin Arriaga (Minnesota United), Alberth Elis (Girondins de Bordeaux), Bryan Róchez (UD Leiria) and Rigoberto Rivas (Hataysport) return to the Honduran national bicolor. Another returnee is Romell Quioto (CF Montreal).

Among the surprises is José Alejandro Reyes (Génesis), who showed a sensational performance at the 2023 Apertura tournament. Real España attacker Darixon Vuelto is another notable name on this list.

THE ABSENCES

Daniel Carter Bodden, Iván “Chino” López, Kevin Álvarez, José Mario Pinto, Michaell Chirinos, Carlos Pineda, Joseph Rosales, Marcelo Pereira, Franklin Flores and Maylor Núñez are the nine footballers who do not appear on this list, but they were there first window of the Concacaf Nations League.
