The Bachelor announces a new spin-off show with contestants with a twist
The Bachelor franchise has announced that their upcoming spin-off show will go in a direction most didn’t expect.
A new spin-off show derived from the Bachelor series will involve contestants in an older age bracket who are searching for the right thing.
As Deadline reported on Tuesday, ABC recently announced that the dating show is being remixed to appeal to seniors who want another chance at love.
The new series, titled The Golden Bachelor, boasts of “presenting a whole new kind of love story”.
Several established women who are still in search of their knight in shining armor will join one lucky golden man in the famous bachelor mansion where they will fight for his heart.
In the end, the mature bachelor will either find the woman of his life or not, like many of his predecessors.
The Golden Bachelor is slated to premiere Monday night this fall, after Dancing With the Stars.
It took a few years for the upcoming TV show to become a reality, Deadline explained.
Talks about the Golden Bachelor began around the 24th season of the main Bachelor series, which took place in 2020.
Bachelor fans are now looking forward to the new show with great anticipation.

I AM READY
Fans flocked to Twitter to share their excitement for The Golden Bachelor.
“Honestly, The Golden Bachelor is the only reality show I would watch,” admitted one fan.
Another added: “Oh this is FINALLY coming out? I remember they auditioned around 2019 or something.”
“Now that? I’ll tune in. Older people are going to be messy as hell. #TheGoldenBachelor.”
A third fan commented: “I’m SUPER excited!! We have waited too long.”
On the contrary, some fans were not so enthusiastic.
One dodgy fan tweeted: “The Golden Bachelor really was the best name they could come up with for this spinoff? #TheBachelor #TheGoldenBachelor.”
If produced properly, the new Bachelor show could soften the hearts of fans, who have joined other disgruntled fans to boycott the show.
Earlier this year, fans vowed to boycott the show after producers dropped a key scene from the show during its 27th season.
According to Reality Steve, 26-year-old famous uncle Patrick Warburton, Bachelor Zach Shallcross, was scheduled to appear during one episode.
However, the scene was unexpectedly cut and fans are furious.
reality Steve tweeted: “As mentioned in today’s Daily Roundup, tonight’s second group date, at which the women perform a puppet show hosted by Patrick Warburton, has been canceled entirely [episode]. Not shown.
“They only show the after party. It happened.” [before] where a date was filmed but cut from the air, but that’s rare.”
Fans flocked to the comments to share their thoughts, with many expressing their anger.
One commenter wrote: “There wasn’t enough drama on the date so they went to the afterparty. A pity. The puppet theater sounded entertaining.”
Another added, “Boooooo ABC kills all the fun.”
A third commenter chimed in: “Creating one of the biggest draws of the season? Interesting. We want Puddy!”
Another fan wrote: “Why??? @paddywarbucks is the only reason I would watch!”
Another commented: “I’m not watching this show again… I’m proud of myself!! I’m breaking free from this “reality” of not-so-famous people with great looks looking for love…followers…”
