The announcement of the departure of GMA’s Amy Robach and TJ Holmes is “imminent” despite ongoing talks with ABC in the wake of the “affair.”

GOOD Morning America’s ‘fired’ host Amy Robach and TJ Holmes’ official departure announcement is ‘imminent’, although talks are still ongoing with ABC following their alleged affair.

Multiple sources have told The US Sun that settlement talks are ongoing between Amy and TJ and ABC lawyers and executives, but they claim the result is apparent the paired co-hosts are on the network awaiting the official announcement will already today.

“The mediation went horribly, it was really contentious and it’s clear ABC painted a picture of allegations against Amy and TJ that they just don’t agree with,” said a well-placed source.

“They are unofficially outside right now as talks are ongoing as we speak. Talks are now focused on leaving. We hope there will be an official announcement later in the day.”

A second confirmed that “talks and negotiations are ongoing,” adding, “We’re not ruling out an official announcement today, it’s still early in LA!”

As The US Sun previously reported, Amy and TJ are in Los Angeles where their attorneys are for the tense discussions.

TMZ was the first to report early Friday that the couple was out and about on the network.

Both TJ and Amy will receive payouts per their contracts, according to the outlet.

As The US Sun exclusively reported earlier this week, there was no expectation that the mediation talks would be settled amicably.

LEGAL WAR?

“Amy and TJ hope to resolve this on favorable and amicable terms, but if they feel they are not being treated fairly, ABC will be sued,” a source claimed.

“ABC screwed up this investigation. You are exposed and Amy and TJ will be compensated.”

The insider added that GMA3’s co-hosts believe the outcome of ABC’s lengthy investigation really doesn’t matter.

“Disney is trying to back up its past behavior and it’s not credible.

“TJ and Amy aren’t going to believe bad results and at this point nobody thinks ABC is going to go back and say, ‘We’ve conducted an investigation and there’s no wrongdoing here,’ they just won’t.”

Another source familiar with the talks claimed, “ABC staged a scandal and by keeping them off the air and making this so mysterious, they’ve made it so much worse.”

TEAMWORK

“Amy’s attorneys and TJ’s attorneys are working hand-in-hand as a united front,” a source previously revealed.

“The purpose of these conversations is to explore possibilities and talk about what is known and what has yet to be determined,” the insider added.

The tense mediation sessions are being held with the stars’ high-profile attorneys Andrew Brettler and Eric George and ABC’s attorneys and top executives as they hope to negotiate the couple’s exit package.

Despite the united front, an insider close to Amy told The US Sun that the hostess was caught off guard by the scale of the allegations against TJ over various inter-office romances and feels like collateral damage.

INQUIRY DRESS

A network source said: “The ABC legal team is taking a really long time because it’s a really small but totally trusted team of lawyers.

“They are definitely scoring their Is and crossing their Ts for Amy and TJ’s exit strategy.

“ABC will pay big bucks to keep everyone happy and walk away very, very quietly.

“Barren NDAs will be signed and everything in their exit treaties will ensure there are no nuclear explosions in the aftermath.

“This whole situation has been handled very poorly and ABC’s legal team is having their hands full making sure everything is right.”

The source also assured Disney CEO Bob Iger “will be sure to keep an eye on the final packages.”

“They are all working on strategies to make hosts comfortable enough for the network to walk away from as quietly as possible,” the source said.

LEGAL ACQUISITION

The GMA3 co-hosts recently brought in two high-profile attorneys to deal with the network.

After the co-hosts hired the lawyers, a close source said: “It certainly sounds like they’re out.

“The couple believe there is no scandal, these are two amicable adults and if they had gone back on the air over the holidays it would all be behind them by now and no one would care.”

In a call to staff in early December, ABC News president Kim Godwin said on a call, “After much deliberation, I’m taking Amy and TJ off the air while we figure this out.”

The ABC exec went on to say that TJ and Amy’s relationship was “not a violation of company policy” and that the decision to remove them from their anchor chairs was necessary for the “GMA brand as a whole.”

Amy hired powerhouse attorney Andrew Brettler while TJ hired Eric George.

SHOCKING AFFAIR

TJ and Amy sent shockwaves through the television world when their relationship was revealed in late November 2022.

The couple, who began anchoring GMA3 together in 2020, reportedly began their romance over the summer, with both claiming they were already separated from their spouses at the time.

They were removed from GMA3 after the public got wind of their relationship.

A number of hosts have represented her in their free time, including Janai Norman and Gio Benitez.

Ever since their relationship was made public, Amy and TJ have not kept it a secret.

They were caught kissing and cuddling during a torrid Miami getaway days after Christmas.

The pair also smiled and looked cozy days later during a shopping spree.

TJ filed for divorce from his wife Marilee Fiebig late last month in New York after 12 years of marriage.

They have a 10-year-old daughter together, Sabine.
