The ailing Putin was humiliated again after 10 Victory Day overflights were canceled “for losing 200 fighter jets in Ukraine”.

VLADIMIR Putin’s showpiece Victory Parade flypasts have been humiliatingly canceled because of the number of casualties in Ukraine, an expert has said.

Eyebrows were raised when the ten planned flyovers across Russia were mysteriously canceled due to inclement weather, despite clear skies.

The May 9 Victory Parade in Moscow, which marked the defeat of Nazi Germany, was to see 77 Russian fighters fly in a Z formation across Red Square.

Putin’s doomsday jet nuclear command post was also scheduled to attend, but while he and some of the fighters attended the rehearsal, they did not show up on the day itself.

The Russian tyrant, who is said to be suffering from cancer, watched from under a blanket as only his land forces rolled by.

Ukrainians claim to have shot down nearly 200 Russian planes in the war, and photos show some of Putin’s most advanced warplanes ablaze after being shot down.

Military aviation expert Babak Taghvaee told The Sun Online that the Russians could only spare a small number of planes due to the war in Ukraine.

So much for “Victory Day” – Vladimir Putin looked weak

He said a Russian source told him “they would have preferred not to hold the parade with just a small number of planes that were cleared to fly.”

“Their greatest weakness, which could have been revealed if they had held the air parade, was the lack of enough SU-34s,” he said, referring to the Russian supersonic fighter-bomber.

Taghvaee, who has written extensively on the world’s air forces, said that Putin expects “perfection” from his air force and doesn’t want to show weakness.

Justin Bronks of the military think tank RUSI said a lack of experienced pilots and pressure on the Russian Air Force led to the flybys being cancelled.

“Given the pressure to put on a good show given the setbacks Russia suffered in invading Ukraine, it is certainly interesting that the Russian Air Force canceled all Victory Day overflights due to weather issues.

“In terms of wind, cloudiness or visibility, it certainly wasn’t particularly bad.”

He explained that the experienced pilots needed for formation flying “will be in great demand for invasion support operations.”

Bronks said the Russian Air Force has been stretched to the limit with 200-300 combat sorties a day for well over a month.

That leaves “little spare capacity to pull together all the serviceable aircraft and spares needed for the usual large-scale overflights.”

The Russians themselves also wondered why there were no overpasses.

Yuri Fyodorov told the New York Times: “There can’t be hurricanes all over the country,” adding that bad weather “doesn’t seem plausible” as an explanation.

Not only did Putin see the flyovers canceled, but his victory parade was humiliatingly hacked with a message telling Russians they had Ukrainian blood on their hands.

The land parade was also downsized and the much-awaited declaration of war never materialized, turning the traditional show of military might into a wet explosive charge.

The Russians also reportedly couldn’t find enough of the latest T-80 tanks after about 120 of them were destroyed by the Ukrainians.

Overall, according to Forbes calculations, the parade was reduced by 35 percent.

Around 10,000 soldiers took part in the parade, fewer than the 12,000 normally displayed in the wake of the 26,000 Russian deaths in Ukraine.
