The Adam Sandler movie is extremely hated when it finds a new life on Netflix

The movie in question is Adam Sandler’s 2011 rom-com”Just go with it. “While the film proved a huge disappointment with critics (each Rotten Tomatoes), the synergy of Sandler and Jennifer Aniston’s fandoms helped make the film a commercial hit with $214 million in worldwide ticket sales (via Box Office Mojo). And it looks like those fans are helping “Just Go With It” become a huge hit in the streaming arena.

If you’re wondering what got critics to say about “Just Go With It,” it wasn’t the work of Sandler or Aniston – some critics (including Entertainment Weekly’s Lisa Schwarzbaum) cited the duo’s conspicuous on-screen chemistry as one of the film’s highlights. Part of the film’s problem, instead, is its whine-inducing setting, which sees Sandler portray Danny, a 40-year-old plastic surgeon who’s spent his life speaking up lying to women about his marital status to sleep with them. As it happens in such stories, things get complicated when he meets the woman of his dreams, and the lie goes wild out of control. So much so that Danny eventually enlists his assistant Katherine (Aniston) to play his ex-fiancée. From there, matters will progress the way you’d expect from a daring Sandler comedy, not entirely unromantic.

If you like that, you’ll want to add “Just Go With It” to your Netflix queue right away.
