CHICAGO – It hasn’t been a season filled with good news for the Bears and it has continued to come after the bye week.
Outer full-back Khalil Mack will be out for the season as he is ready to have surgery on his ailing foot next week. It is thought the team’s best player was dropped from the squad after he missed the team’s last two games, and now the defense will have to find a way to replace him.
That only makes things worse for a team that is 3-6 and has lost four games in a row and is making hopes of making something of this season dwindle with each loss. But a seventh seed in the knockouts doesn’t leave the door open to sneaking into the post-season, something the Bears did just a season ago.
At least the Bears will face the Ravens on Sunday at Soldier Field as quarterback Justin Fields is playing the best football of his youth career.
Christine Flores and Larry Hawley have all of those storylines and social media highlights on this week’s “Nine Yard Road” on WGN News Now. You can watch the episode in the video above.
