Without a doubt, 2021 is going to be a pretty great year for Netflix cartoon.

Not only do we get a ton of new seasons from our favorite anime series like Seven Deadly Sins, Drag seven, and Castlevania, but we’ve also been introduced to some great new releases such as Komi can’t communicate, Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop, and Super Crooks, that is now forever in our hearts.

There are so many great anime releases out there, there’s no question about it, but which one in particular stands above the rest?

Brace yourself as all the anime on this list are cruel entertainment, which means if your must-see anime list is already long, it’s going to be a lot longer!

Without further ado, here are the seven best Netflix animated movies of 2021.

Record of Ragnarok

Record of RagnarokThe manga of the series has been enjoyed by many readers worldwide, so it’s certainly no surprise that its anime adaptation has been on people’s minds for quite some time. long.

From seeing some of our favorite characters finally animated to watching the epic matches we’ve been waiting to see feel like forever, this anime is in many ways well worth it. to expect. Sure, the anime still has some way to go before it firmly establishes itself as one of the greatest series of all time, but with season 2 already on the air, we’re sure it won’t be long for that. until everyone is a big fan of Record of Ragnarok.

Highland Invasion

Launched in the first half of the year, Highland Invasion remains among our favorite action anime series of the year, especially since each episode has managed to keep us at our vantage point.

Of course, witnessing masked murderers chasing innocent people is scary, and this anime was able to capture that heart-pounding feeling relatively well. But it’s our ever-elusive Sniper Mask that’s really got us fans because his unknown identity and face is more than enough to pique our interest. His seemingly kind nature is a breath of fresh air in this animated thriller series, and we can’t wait to know more about his involvement in the characters’ battle for lives. main in the second season – if we get a . Blue period

Moving on from action and adventure, we have one of our favorite upcoming series of the year, Blue period.

Yatora Yaguchi’s journey of self-discovery has inspired all of us in ways we didn’t expect. Seeing him take that huge and terrifying step towards becoming a famous painter instead of going on with his life as a late high school thug tells us that one’s past is unknown. determine them and that there is always a much better life. as long as you work hard for it.

Blue period It may not always feel as pleasant as the next anime on our list, but it’s certainly good food for the soul.

The road of the husband and wife

Do not lie, The road of the husband and wife had us laugh every minute. Who would have thought that a former yakuza boss would turn into one of the kindest wives we’ve ever met when he had him wear an apron, a phone, and an adorable dog to keep an eye on?

Tatsu’s difficulty reintegrating back into the mundane is a pretty wild ride as the ghosts of his past keep trying to bring out the Immortal Dragon sleeping within him, but as long as he I have my wonderful wife, Miku, by my side, it’s safe to say. that we’ll never see him return to his previous life of crime and will continue to get more of these pure soul moments.


Eden, our hidden gem of the year, is a great sci-fi anime series that exceeded our expectations, leaving us in awe with its excellent animation and touching story.

The 2021 cartoon is about a young girl named Sara who is raised by a robot in a society devoid of human life. As a child, she was fascinated by everything and had little or no interest in anything, but as she grew older, she started to have a lot of questions about where she came from and what other people like. Where did she go. Her journey to find the answers to these questions and more is something we hold dear as it is a testament to the beauty often discovered in adventures and finding family.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean

We absolutely could not have included this anime series on our list, especially since the Stone Ocean Arc was a time when all Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure fans have been waiting since it was published in 2000.

This arc is everything and more than we ever imagined! You’ve got the perfect portrait of our first female JoJo, Jolyne Cujoh; you’ve got intense battles between users who stand seriously dopeed; you get guests from some of your favorite characters from previous seasons; and who can forget that you have been introduced to the only one, Enrico Pucci! (We know he’s the bad guy, but hear us out.)

All in all, you’ve got a great new season of this beloved anime and it’ll be around friend to not watch every episode of Rocky ocean as soon as possible.


We definitely have to save the best for last: Arcane.

This cyber-punk masterpiece left us in awe from start to finish. The way each unique character and their respective beliefs intertwine is inherently extraordinary, but when all these aspects turn into a great movie that no one has seen will come, we know. that this series is our favorite movie of 2021.

Oh, and the best part of this animated series is whether you are League of Legends fan or not, the series is viewable by everyone, which means everyone can experience one of the best Netflix hits of the year and also become a fan the frenzy of our champions Vi and Jinx.

Arcane, Blue period, Ocean rocks… Our list is quite stacked, but our list of honorable mentions is equally impressive. Here are the anime that have been great runners-up.
