He had started from a popular launch site on Babadag Mountain at 6,234 feet above sea level.

But his jump went awry and the vacationer crashed violently onto a rocky area below him around 2 p.m.

The incident was witnessed by several shocked onlookers, who frantically called the emergency services.

The Gendarmerie Search and Rescue Battalion Command and the National Medical Rescue Team were dispatched to the scene to assist in the complicated rescue.

Frank was loaded onto a stretcher with serious injuries and taken to Fethiye State Hospital by ambulance shortly after.

Shocking images show the Brit being towed into an ambulance as rescuers try to navigate the rough terrain.

Unfortunately, the 62-year-old succumbed to his injuries and died.

Turkish authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fatal accident.

It is not yet clear how Frank’s paraglider ended fatally.

Babadag Mountain is considered one of the best paragliding spots in Europe thanks to its breathtaking views and ideal conditions.

The season ends in early November when the colder months begin.
