Be different is a good mother and son movie to watch on Mother’s Day. It follows three best friends who get together for their annual Mother’s Day brunch to talk about how neglected they feel by their now grown sons. Suddenly, they have a mission: drive all the way to New York City to reconnect with their sons. Obviously things won’t go well if the mothers show up unannounced. Angela Bassett, Patricia Arquette and Felicity Huffman are the three best friends and give excellent performances. Be different is definitely a must-have this Mother’s Day.

Dumplings (2018)

dumplings is one of the best mother daughter movies on Netflix. Jennifer Aniston and Danielle Macdonald play mother and daughter in a film about a young teenager who signs up for her mother’s pageant in protest but doesn’t expect others to follow in her footsteps. It is adapted from the young adult bestseller of the same title by Julie Murphy. Enjoyed by critics and viewers alike dumplings So you should watch it if you haven’t already.

I am mom (2019)

You probably just expected comedy or drama to be on our list. Sometimes you want to change things up on Mother’s Day by tuning in to a thriller movie. I am a mother takes place years after the mass extinction of humanity. The story is about a teenage girl named Daughter who was raised in a post-apocalyptic bunker by a robot named Mother. Suddenly her life changes as she knows it when a stranger shows up. Clara Rugaard, Rose Byrne and Hilary Swank star in this sci-fi thriller.

Funny Mom Dinner (2017)

Technically, Funny mom dinner is not a Netflix original movie but is currently streaming on Netflix. Funny mom dinner follows three mothers who aren’t necessarily friends, but who all know each other because their children are in the same preschool class. One day the women decide to meet away from the children for an innocuous dinner, but the dinner quickly goes awry. However, due to the copious amounts of alcohol, karaoke singing and cute bartenders, the women have a night to remember.
