A three-year-old boy has died after being hit by a family member’s car in a tragic accident in Chicago.
The driver said she jumped out of the vehicle immediately after feeling the car hit something in front of a family member’s home.
The incident happened around noon on Monday.
Police were responding to a call about a child who had been run over by a relative.
Police told CBS Chicago that the family member was moving vehicles so children could play basketball in the driveway.

Authorities said the boy was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.
