The crazy incident happened when her buddy threw her key at her.
The 24-year-old fumbled with the key so aggressively that the recoil punched her in the face.
Terrifying photos show the moment it was pinched and blood spurted from the wound.
The woman can be seen in despair as she feared she would go blind from the injury.
The moment of bloodshed was made even more sinister by the vision of the handle sticking out untouched.
It happened just seconds before she was supposed to be driving her friends to McDonald’s.
Renée said: “I felt pressure but I felt like I’d just been slapped in the face.
“My boyfriend looked at me and said, ‘Oh my god, don’t move,’ and he panicked.
“I guess the adrenaline is pumping, so you don’t feel it right away.
“I didn’t actually believe him, so I went into the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror.”
There her pierced face was revealed.
Paramedics were called and the young woman was taken to the hospital.
Renée said: “I was scared.
“It felt like there was constant pressure, like heavy pressure, like there was something heavy on my face.
“My concern was my eye, I didn’t give a damn about a scar.
“If you take proper care of scars, they will go away… My concern was, ‘Will I be able to see?'”
Renée was immediately examined by medical professionals and received a CT scan.
A cosmetic surgeon was then brought in to remove the key and sew up the wound.
Images from the scan showed the key buried in her nasal cavities after piercing a very precise spot on her face.
Doctors were stunned by the Fluke accident.
Renée said: “The doctors there were amazed.
“Doctors from different departments came to me because they couldn’t believe it.
“I had one of them come and ask to take photos so he can show his students.
“He was an emergency doctor and wanted to show them that anything can happen.”
Luckily, Renée remained scar free and has made a full recovery with no complications.
She has posted about her terror on TikTok, which has racked up more than 10 million views.
Renée said: “Looking at it now, I would think there’s no way that could happen.
“I think it’s just dumb luck because nothing bad actually happened.
“Like what are the chances of that happening.
“It was a near miss… if it had hit somewhere else it could have done quite a bit of damage.

“I definitely think people should be more careful.
“Fluke accidents happen all the time and I don’t think we realize it.”
