The alarm went off around 10.20pm last night and the hotel where the incident took place has not yet been identified.

The unnamed Briton is believed to have fallen from a height of around ten feet and was taken to Nuestra Señora del Rosario hospital.

The circumstances of the fall are unclear.

It’s the same private hospital where another 33-year-old Briton remains in intensive care after falling on rocks while diving into the sea near San Antonio on Sunday.

This accident happened in Cala Salada, a cove of gravel and sand in a closed bay surrounded by pine trees, just over two miles from San Antonio.

The section of rock from which the unnamed tourist is said to have jumped lies between Cala Salada and a neighboring cove called Cala Saladeta.

He is said to have suffered a fractured cervical spine which, in severe cases, can lead to paralysis from the chest down.

Nuestra Señora del Rosario Hospital sources confirmed this morning that they are treating a patient who suffered a hotel fall in San Antonio, but said they had no further information at the time.

Last month, a Dutch tourist died after throwing himself off a cliff while performing a tombstone stunt in front of his partner and two children.

He was later named as former footballer Mourad Lambrabatte.

His widow filmed him jumping more than 22 meters to his death on an island opposite the Mallorcan resort of Santa Ponsa near Magaluf.

On the same day, a 34-year-old British tourist fell to his death from the seventh floor of the four-star Melia South Beach hotel in Magaluf, where he was staying.

Police sources confirmed at the time that he had been drinking before the fall at 8.30am on May 12 and local reports said tests were taking place to determine if he had been on drugs.

Shocked onlookers filmed him pacing at high speed on a narrow ledge on the outside of his balcony before falling to his death after apparently trying to climb onto the balcony below.
