The 29-year-old is now being held without bail and accused of murdering the baby named June by authorities.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office put the cold case on hold after they successfully identified the child’s father through DNA.

Announcing the arrest last Thursday, Detective Brittany Christoffel said: “He [the father] knew nothing about the baby.

“He knew he had a girlfriend at the time[who]told him she was pregnant, but she had taken care of it.”

Christoffel said the father believed Singh had had an abortion.

June was found dead in Boynton Beach Inlet on June 1, 2018.

Investigators assume that Singh is said to have thrown her lifeless daughter into the sea.

At the time of discovery, authorities estimated the little girl was between four and seven days old.

Detectives determined the newborn had been swimming in the ocean for six to 18 hours before it was found.

An autopsy revealed that baby June had a needle stick in her heel and her umbilical cord was severed.

For years, the case had baffled officials when probes in birth records in Broward and Palm Beach counties turned up nothing during the time frame.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Officers later collected a “covert DNA sample” from the 29-year-old mother, which confirmed her relationship to baby June.

Singh’s cellphone records then revealed that she had been at Boynton Beach Inlet on May 30, 2018, about 40 hours before the child was found.

Investigators also learned that the 29-year-old sifted through messages about the baby’s discovery in the days that followed.

“But she never got in touch in all that time,” said Christoffel.

According to Christoffel, the baby was born on May 30, the same day Singh allegedly threw it down the inlet.
