A FLORIDA woman has revealed her motive for hiding her mother’s body in a freezer.

Michele R. Hoskins, 64, was arrested by the Sebastian Police Department.

Newsweek reported that Hoskins was arrested more than two months after her mother’s body was found at a welfare check on April 28.

Fox News reported that Hoskins admitted to buying the freezer and stuffed her mother’s body in a freezer to continue receiving her welfare payments.

Palm trees surrounding the crime scene also contained some evidence that the woman was trying to get rid of.

The mother, Marie Hoskins. 93 died of natural causes and was dead for two weeks before her daughter placed her body in the freezer.

Authorities found a heavily soiled mattress covered by palm trees in Hoskin’s backyard when they searched the home after receiving a search warrant.

Hoskins was accused of failing to report her mother’s death and tampering with evidence.

She is being held in the Indian River County Jail on $10,000 bail.
