Terrifying moment hundreds of fearless Ukrainians take down Russian tanks against Putin’s army

This is the moment hundreds of brave Ukrainians forced a Russian tank to a halt by blocking a pedestrian path.
Chilling footage, allegedly shot in Koryukiva, just a few miles from the Ukraine border with Russiashows locals standing in front of a convoy of tanks.
The men are seen slowly and calmly walking towards the tank in an act of defiance – while Russian soldiers poke their heads out of the machine.
It appeared as a congressman yesterday declared that Ukrainian forces captured “hundreds” of Russian troops near the capital Kyiv.
Sviatoslav Yurash said: “The Russians are not having a good time here, to say the least.
“We have hundreds of prisoners, we are releasing the video, showing the Russians going to Ukraine.”
He said Ukrainians “have no choice” when it comes to fighting Russia because Putin has “time and again tried to denounce Ukraine’s very ideas”.
“Everything is at stake, I’m not a soldier, I don’t have much experience with guns.
“When you fight for your life, you learn very quickly. The reality is Ukraine has no choice.
“Russia wants to destroy us and we will not let that happen. I was born in independent Ukraine and I will die in independent Ukraine.”
And earlier today Ukrainian troops destroy a convoy of Russian special forces made up of Chechen fighters.
An army chief was killed in battle, outside Kyiv, because the slow pace of the invasion infuriated Vladimir Putin.
Rain shells falling nationwide after the invasion in the early hours of Thursday – when the battle for the capital Kyiv dragged on into the fourth day.
The city was awoken by multiple sirens of air strikes after missile strikes turned the sky orange in what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called a “brutal” night.
In a major setback for Russian forces, a Chechen task force, consisting of 56 tanks, was destroyed near Hostomel, northeast of the city, Kyiv Independent reported.
The Russian Chechnya province is led by 45-year-old Ramzan Kadyrov, a close ally of Vladimir Putin.
The dead included General Magomed Tushaev, commander of the 141st Mechanized Regiment of the Chechen National Guard, according to Ukraine’s Interfax agency.
The Chechen soldiers were called “hunters” and each of them is said to have been given a pack of cards with high-ranking Ukrainian officials that Moscow wanted dead.
It comes like Putin has put Russia’s nuclear forces on alert because he was said to be preparing to lose 50,000 troops to occupy Ukraine.
The Russian tyrant was said to be “angry” that his forces could not subdue the Ukrainians and blamed Western sanctions for the move.
In a speech on state TV, Putin claimed that the NATO leaders’ aggressive statements and economic sanctions against Moscow had forced him to take action.
He said he has now ordered his military command to place Russia’s deterrence forces – referring to units that include nuclear weapons – on high alert.
