THE chilling last words of a man killed in his own driveway have been revealed.

Robert Ashburn, 56, was shot dead outside his home in Midlothian, Texas on Monday.

Chesterfield Police said they saw the suspect ransacking his girlfriend’s car at 3.30am.

Ashburn then confronted the man, who fled the scene.

Newly released surveillance footage shows the man rummaging through the car in the dark.

Ashburn is heard asking, “What are you doing, brother?”

Then the suspect can be heard saying to him, “Bro, stop.”

He repeats the phrase three times, getting louder each time.

After the third time, a shot rings out and there is only silence.

The footage was filmed over a dark courtyard and was captured at the moment the suspect shot through the car.

However, he cannot be seen in detail during the clip and police are unable to provide a description.

The suspect fled the area.
