Terrifying footage shows sharks stalking the east coast and bloodying the water in a vicious attack

A VIDEO on Sunday caught a hammerhead devouring its prey right off an east coast beach.
The chilling Instagram video posted by @lisalarsonnyc shows the shark couldn’t get any closer to shore – unless it were stranded in the sand.

The camera follows the hammerhead movement after movement as it swims straight into the crashing tide of Nantucket, Massachussetts, successful in its hunt.
“Oh my God, there’s something, there’s blood in there,” says a beach-goer off-screen.
Then a large, red mass floats in the water in front of the shark cuts off with killing.
“That’s a huge fish,” exclaimed the viewer.

Experts say hammerhead sharks are still a rare sight in cool East Coast waters, according to CBS.
Hammerheads are usually attracted to much warmer waters, but this shark sighting was just one of a total of 20 Nantucket shark sightings over the weekend alone. The Nantucket Stream wrote.
Shark sightings have increased on east coast beaches this summer.
Eerie video last week showed sharks circling just yards off the Long Island coast as officials stepped up patrols following a spate of attacks.
Drone videographer Joanna Steidle, who captured footage of the predators, said she had never seen them so close to the beach.
“Sharks 25m from shore today – Hamptons NY,” Steidle wrote while sharing the video Twitter.
“In seven years of flying commercial drones in the Hamptons, I’ve never caught a shark this close to shore,” said Steidle.

The alarming footage of sharks on a “feeding frenzy” off Little Plains Beach in Southampton comes as Long Island saw a spate of attacks this summer.
At least six shark attacks have been reported on Long Island in recent weeks, but none have been fatal.
