The schoolgirl’s mother said he sent her a chilling final message asking: “Do you want to speak to your daughter one last time?”.
Summer Mullins called Stacia her only “healthy” daughter, having previously lost two other children to “a rare metabolic disorder.”
Mullins said she and her daughter bonded over their love of music and scary movies.
“She loved Michael Meyers, Scream, although it’s not that scary, but she loved Scream,” Mullins told the WSAZ.

The heartbroken mother said she received the powerful message via text message and asked Stacia’s father what he meant.
The two exchanged messages and calls back and forth before Stacy went “dead silent.”
“And it’s not like her not to have her cell phone with her,” Mullins said. “She always has her phone, loves her phone.”
Mullins said she called her daughter’s school and asked for Stacia, who said the girl hadn’t been there all day.
The school informed Mullins that Stacia was absent for the first two days of classes.
Police said Stacia’s body was found in a “very, very remote” area of Johnson County. According to local reports, she had been shot.
Johnson County Coroner JR Frisby said the road “hardly ever gets driven by anyone.”
Officers had responded to reports of an assault last Thursday when they found Papa Stacy suffering from what they believe was a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office said: “Based on the initial investigation, the deputies determined that Mr Collins’ 12-year-old daughter was missing.
“After exhausting numerous leads in an attempt to locate the youth, the JCSO, in conjunction with Emergency Management Director Gary McClure, began assembling search teams to locate the youth.
“The search should initially focus on the area where Mr. Collins was found.
“Unfortunately, the youth was soon found with public help, but he died.
“The remains were transported from the Johnson County Coroner’s Office to the Medical Examiners Office in Frankfort, KY.
“No further information can be released at this time. This case is being investigated by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.”
Her father, Stacy Collins, is currently recovering in hospital.
The school district released the students early Monday “due to the unexpected loss of one of our very beloved students.”
They said in a statement: “The Johnson County School District is saddened to report the tragic loss of one of our students, a sixth grader at Porter Elementary.
“The student was reported missing yesterday and her body was discovered later in the afternoon after local authorities conducted a search. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department is finalizing the investigation.”
“The staff of Porter and the Johnson County School District offer our deepest condolences to her family and friends,” they added.
No arrests were made while police are still investigating.
“I keep imagining what was going through her head,” Mullins said. “Scared. Like her own real life scary movie, probably.

“We have lost a very valuable person. She was a gem taken way too soon.
