A CHILLING FBI file reveals a disturbing list of Polaroids, power tools, human bones and other nasty items stolen from the home of cannibal killer Jeffrey Dahmer.
The disturbing dossier contains grim details of evidence sent by the Milwaukee Police Department to the FBI’s crime lab in Quantico, Virginia, for investigation.
The 74 pages of declassified documents – obtained by The Sun Online – reveal correspondence between Police Chief Philip Arreola and FBI Director William S. Sessions.
“The remains of eleven decapitated, dismembered victims were discovered at the home of Jeffrey Dahmer,” Chief Arreola writes in the August 12, 1991 document.
And attached was a list of evidence that was sent to the FBI lab for testing as cops desperately tried to piece together the horrors they uncovered in Dahmer’s stinking Oxford Apartments flat.
Some of the most chilling items featured in the list were three Polaroid photos of his victims from his vile collection.
Dahmer is said to have taken 84 photos of his 17 victims – which he kept as memorabilia to help him relive his twisted crimes.
One of the photos sent to the FBI is said to be of Jeremiah Weinberger, 23, who was Dahmer’s 15th victim on July 5, 1991.
Police noted that the image also showed Dahmer’s right leg and foot in the photo.
And the others featured Ernest Miller, 22, Dahmer’s 7th victim, and David Thomas, his 8th victim.
Police asked the FBI to analyze and examine the photos to “advance identification of the suspect and victims.”
The Polaroids were key to Dahmer getting caught, as the police officer who arrested him spotted them on his bedside table.
Officer Rolf Mueller and his partner Robert Rauth had been pulled over by Dahmer victim Tracey Edwards, who was still in handcuffs.
Edwards had escaped and told cops about his ordeal at the hands of a “freak.”
The cops headed back to Dahmer’s house — and as they looked around, Mueller spied the stack of sick pictures.
“They’re real,” he said.
Dahmer tried to escape, but the cops managed to wrestle him to the ground and handcuff him – ending his murderous killing spree.
Other items included in the evidence sent to the FBI were Dahmer’s tools — like an assortment of saw blades.
It also contained a “Sears Craftsman” drill and hypodermic needle.
Samples of drilled skull fragments were also included, all likely part of Dahmer’s disturbing efforts to create “zombies” or “love slaves.”
Dahmer dreamed of turning his victims into docile, nearly brain-dead creatures that he could keep in his home.
His plan never worked and his twisted efforts killed her.
He told police officers that his sexual fantasies had taken complete control of him and he wanted his victims “to do whatever he needed to.”
FBI analysis documents included in the declassified files concluded that the holes in the skulls were likely caused by a drill.
Other cooling items include various knives, saw blades and even a cooking spoon.
Dahmer is known for meticulously dismembering and partially cannibalizing the victims of his helpless victims after drugging them.
The twisted killer believed that eating the men and boys who killed would help them stick with him.
Frozen samples of organs, teeth, and other human remains that Dahmer kept were also brought to the crime lab — along with fabric samples from Dahmer’s carpets, sofas, and bed sheets.
All of this evidence was key to painting a true picture of the horror of Dahmer’s crimes and 17 young men and boys whose lives he stole.
Many explicit Polaroid snaps showed Dahmer engaging in sexual intercourse with the bodies of some of his dead victims, while others showed naked, dismembered corpses in various poses.
Dahmer photographed his victims “when he wanted to keep them as keepsakes to keep him company,” according to the American Journal of Forensic Medicine and Pathology in 1994.
It is understood the sicko also took photos of his victims at various stages of the murder trial so that he could “later recall each act and relive the experience,” reports Biography.
Police also found sketches of a plan to build an altar at his home.
The serial killer confessed to having his victims pose for photos on a black table that he wanted to make part of his altar.
Police officers also discovered a blood-soaked mattress and tools, such as a hammer, and saw where Dahmer would maim his victims.
Childish images showed where Dahmer wanted to decorate an altar with the skulls of his victims.
Painted skeletons lined either side of a long back table covered with heads.
Police also found barrels of acid, which Dahmer used to dissolve the remains of his victims.
Dahmer was sentenced to 16 consecutive life sentences and incarcerated at Columbia Correctional Institution in Wisconsin in 1992.
Two years later he was beaten to death with a metal bar by fellow inmate Christopher Scarver.
