Kylesthenix filmed getting out of a tent at night and wrote of the viral video, “I was woken up at 2am by a grating noise outside my tent.”
After taking a few steps outside the tent, the self-proclaimed “fake lawyer, father, and assassin” captured a terrifying creature wielding a dangerous weapon.
“Hey brother, hey brother, I need this knife,” Kylesthenix said humorously to the black creature.
Then he bravely snatched away the steak knife and said, “Thank you.”

In the comments, the original poster said he was on the island of Okinawa in Japan, where “they come out at night.”
Users immediately went to the comments section to say that the crab looked like another terrifying creature.
“I can’t be the only one who thought it was a giant spider,” someone said.
The original poster replied, “Bruh, if that was a spider, I would have gotten out of there.”
He posted a follow-up video showing a better look at the crab and said “I see it now” with spider and crab emojis.
Other commenters wondered what made the menacing creature nearly steal the man’s knife.
“Why do crabs like knives so much? This is the fourth other video I’ve seen of a crab stealing a knife,” someone asked with laughing emojis.
The TikTok creator replied, “It also had ribeye residue on it.”
Kylesthenix said the creature was a coconut crab – a bird-eating predator, no kidding.
Apparently, the “megacrabs” can lift objects the weight of a 10-year-old child, the London Natural History Museum reported.
They also get their name from their powerful claws, which they use to break up food sources.
“People may be familiar with crab pincers when trying to pick up the animals from the front rather than the back,” said curator Miranda Lowe.
“The pincers of coconut crabs have a serrated edge, commonly known as teeth because they act as teeth on the front claws.

“They are used to break up the coconuts.”
“If nothing else… I hope they’re delicious!” another user commented on Kylesthenix’s post.
