The Timber Trail sent a technical team to review the situation while local police surveyed the situation.

National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams were also dispatched to the scene.

Onkar Chand Sharma, chief secretary of the national disaster management agency of the Himachal Pradesh state government, told ANI news agency the group has now been rescued.

He said: “A total of 15 people were stranded in two cable cars. Four people on the ascent and 11 on the descent.”
