The rain won’t arrive until after the 7th, with light showers and possible overnight drizzle Saturday morning and Sunday.
We could also have wet snow on Sunday morning. While I wouldn’t expect much impact there, the Laurel Plateau and the snow belt are both likely to see wet snow.

I really think any wet snow in Pittsburgh will have at its worst a mix of rain and rain. The overall weather effect on you will be low on Saturday.
Temperatures will remain above average. It should be noted, today is the first day of the year the average high temperature is at (or above) 50 degrees.
I’m sure many are hoping for some more pleasant days like the ones they saw yesterday and temperatures to remain well above average for the next week.
Today’s forecast high is 73 degrees, much higher than the average for this time of year.
It’s actually only a few degrees down from the record high of 78 degrees set in 1903.
