Mender, 18, called for the release of Young Thug – real name Jeffery Lamar Williams – from prison, Fox5 reported.

The boy is said to have threatened to kill Labat, his wife Jackie and Ronald Applin – the head of the Atlanta Public Schools.

Mender was taken into custody on May 26 and charged with 23 counts of terrorist threats.

Labat vowed: “We take such brazen threats seriously.

Rapper DENIES bond as after arrest judge rules he could pose a danger to the community
YSL's Lil Keed criticized Young Thug's arrest before his tragic death at the age of 24

“Cyberbullying on social media and hiding behind a keyboard doesn’t protect anyone from criminal prosecution.”

Young Thug was among 28 people arrested on racketeering charges in May.

He was arrested on charges of conspiring to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and engaging in street gang activity.

RICO, signed during the Nixon administration, was originally developed to fight the Mafia.

It allows criminals to be subject to enhanced penalties and a civil cause of action for their role in criminal organizations.

It focuses specifically on extortion and targets kingpins by allowing them to be tried for crimes they ordered or assisted in committing.

Young Thug’s attorney, Brian Steel, told The Sun that the rapper denies the allegations against him.

The music star was denied the bond by a judge who cited a “significant concern” that he would pose a danger to the community or obstruct justice.

However, the judge said he was willing to consider future bond-related motions.

Young Thug is said to be a founding member of Young Slime Life.

YSL is an Atlanta criminal street gang formed in 2012 and linked to the Bloods, prosecutors allege.

Prosecutors alleged Williams referenced the gang in songs and on social media.

“Fight Case Diligently”

Steel told ABC News: “Mr. Williams has not broken any law.

“We will fight this case ethically, legally and zealously. Mr. Williams is acquitted.”

The attorney vowed his team would fight to the “last drop of blood” to acquit Young Thug.

Fellow rapper Gunna was also among those charged with conspiracy to violate RICO.

Prosecutors alleged the rapper wore jewelry containing the YSL logo in Lil Keed’s Fox 5 music video.

And the prosecutors referred to the text: “We have ten hundred-shot helicopters,” reported GQ.

District Attorney Fani Willis said, “It doesn’t matter how well-known you are, how famous you are, if you come to Fulton County, Georgia, and you commit crimes … you become a target and a focus of that prosecution, and we will get you in.” prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.”

Gunna was denied bail last month and he is due to appear in court in January 2023.
