Teen Who Follows Elon Musk’s Jet Fears His Twitter Account Will Be CLOSED

ELON Musk fans are wondering if the tech mogul will shut down the controversial account tracking his private jet following his $44 billion purchase of Twitter.
Jack Sweeney, 19, who runs the controversial account Elon Musk’s Jet, is worried it could be shut down but has no regrets for turning down the billionaire’s initial $5,000 takeover.

The account is one of several run by Sweeney that keeps tabs on high-flyers like Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos, using publicly available data of all flights on the air.
When asked how he felt about Musk’s Twitter takeover, the teenager told The US Sun he was “a little concerned, but not much given his comments on free speech.”
Before the official buyout, Musk said he hopes even his “worst critics stay on Twitter because that means freedom of speech.”
Sweeney viewed Musk’s tweet as a sign of hope for his jet-tracking account.
“His last tweet seems to make it seem like I’m staying, but if he considers it
@ElonJet more of a security risk than a critic then I’ll probably be gone,” the teen tweeted.

However, if he is eventually kicked out of Twitter, Sweeney said he will take his tracking talents to other social media platforms such as Discord and will soon be releasing a Telegram channel for Elon Jet.
“I’m going to blow up the story of how he’s behaving quite wrongly and his true motive behind the takeover. And I will continue on other platforms,” Sweeney told The US Sun.
On Monday, Twitter confirmed that SpaceX’s CEO will buy the social media platform for $54.20 per share in cash.
On April 14, after learning about Musk’s initial offer to buy the social media giant, Sweeney tweeted, “Oh no. Probably good for Twitter but probably not for me lol.”
Now fans of the tech tycoon are wondering if Musk will close a teenager’s account after initially rejecting a $5,000 takeover from the Telsa CEO.
An hour before news of Musk and Twitter’s agreement broke, Sweeney said he wasn’t sure what the future held for the jet-tracking account.
“An update on Elon Musk & @ElonJet, it remains unknown if Elon would take down ElonJet if he takes over Twitter, Sweeney tweeted.
Fans of the tech mogul dragged the teen along, saying he was one of the “reasons Musk bought Twitter.”
“You are one of the reasons he wants to buy Twitter 😂 @elonmusk @Tesla @SpaceX,” one person wrote.
A second person tweeted, “It would be so funny if that was the only reason he spent so much money on Twitter.”
“I think it’s a safe bet he will. I would go so far as to say that’s why he’s buying it 😂,” another person replied to Sweeney.
MUSK NOT IMPRESSED
Musk wasn’t impressed when he found out that a 19-year-old had developed a Twitter bot to track his private jet’s movements.
In late January, Protocol reported that Musk sent the teen a direct message asking him to delete the account, branding it a “security risk.”
Musk was afraid that some “maniac” would shoot out of the sky.
“Can you take that down? It’s a security risk,” he said.
The teenager replied: “Yes I can but it will cost you a Model 3 just kidding unless?
After a few messages back and forth, Musk asked how much Sweeney made running the account.
Revealing that it was making him no more than $20 a month, the world’s richest man made a measly offer of $5,000 to delete the account.
The teenager pushed for more and ended up demanding an extra zero.
“Any chance of bumping that up to $50,000?” he said.

“It would be a great asset in college and potentially allow me to get a car, maybe even a Model 3.”
Musk replied that he would think about it, but Sweeney never heard from the billionaire again.
