A NEW Teen Mom spin-off is in development.
According to an insider, the new addition to the Teen Mom franchise could focus on single couples and potentially edge out some other cast members.
“At this point, it’s unclear if the show will be a standalone series or if this will become the third season of Teen Mom: The Ashley.reunion,” an insider revealed exclusively
The insider added that the show might have the working title “Couples Therapy” or something similar, adding, “Couples Therapy is different, so for the most part it won’t be the same people working on Teen Mom: The.”chapter production.
The source added that the alleged show would be filmed outside the US, while the source noted, “The cast is aware that the production of this show — or their chances of being on it — could be pulled the plug at any time.”
The second part of the first season of “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” started on July 19 with disappointing numbers.
The US Sun exclusively revealed that just 304,000 screens watched the MTV premiere on July 19 and just 252,000 viewers watched the second episode that same night.
Back in May, fans reacted to rumors that all Teen Mom shows could be cancelled, and many were delighted.
One person wrote, “God is good if that happens.”
Another said: “It’s time to end this franchise. I jumped from the devil years ago.”

LEAH GETS POINT
In last week’s episode, 31-year-old Leah Messer approached her father, Gary, to discuss the possibility of him checking into a rehab facility, but her father responded with a homophobic tirade.
Leah completed a stint in rehab in 2013 after developing an addiction to painkillers, so she reluctantly spoke to her father on the phone.
At one point, Gary mentioned a facility in California that Leah’s mother recommended.
The mother-of-three gushed about how much she loved the area, but was quickly dismissed by her father with a very different take on the West Coast.
Gary fumed, “You’re too into f******ts and q***rs, and I…Lord forgive me, but that’s the truth.”
“No, you can’t say that,” Leah replied.
Regardless, Gary continued, “The Lord created male and female.”
Leah shot back sternly, “I disagree with what you said and it pissed me off.”
Gary could be heard getting emotional at Leah’s reaction, but the star just hung up.
GUESS WHO’S BACK
Last week, a sneak peek at tonight’s Next Chapter episode revealed that 33-year-old Amber Portwood would be returning to the show.
In February it was reported that Amber was leaving the series after 14 years.
In the clip, Amber took part in a video chat with her co-stars Catelynn Lowell, 31, Briana DeJesus, 29, and Maci Bookout, 32.
“I’m back!” announced the Teen Mom OG alum after not appearing in an episode so far this season.
