TEEN Mom Mackenzie McKee claims that MTV “lied” her to keep her out of the franchise’s spin-off, Family Reunion, before deleting her Instagram page.
The reality TV star has criticized her treatment by the network, saying she feels “hurt” and “doesn’t deserve to be lied to”.
Mackenzie left her last words of displeasure in a series of Instagram Stories before signing off from the platform entirely.
She addressed fans’ comments about the situation by writing: “My inbox is flooded with messages and social media has been rough this week.
“What people don’t understand is that I’m not hurt in the slightest. I’m not apart from something.
“But the heartbreaking thing is that MTV lied to me about it all. And I had to find out through social media.
“It’s not the OGs’ fault at all and they don’t say so at all.”
Mackenzie went on to admit that she was at fault in the situation that got out of hand.

“If I could go back and do other things I would. I really did my best to fix my mistakes and someone who has never once deserved to be put in this mess of mine. I.
“Love me or hate me, none of us deserve to be deceived by creativity. This whole situation has been blown up for over a year now and I take responsibility for it all going downhill.
“My efforts never let this end. And I would never have guessed a new girl would end up like this.”
She ended her message with an apology for all that was wrapped up in the film: “Learn to stop reading comments sent my way and act my way or let them affect you.” It’s been a challenge to my mental health.”
“I’ve been very frustrated with people comparing mistakes. But my final word is simply an apology to everyone involved in my mess. For me, and me. never intended to harm or hurt anyone.”
EVERYONE HAS BEEN INVITED?
Teen Mom’s gossip page, Teen mom talking noticed Mackenzie was suddenly logged out of the platform, taking a screenshot of her inactive page.
They captioned the post: “As of tonight, #MackenzieMcKee took down her Instagram page. I assume she’s on a mental health break, with a reunion coming up that she claims she wasn’t invited and was lied to about. #Young mother #TeenMomOG“
The fan page also shared a separate post including screenshots of the Instagram Q&A that the Teen Mom star Jade Cline and Cheyenne Floyd had with fans, asserting that no one was intentionally dropped from the show.
One user directly asked Jade: “Do all moms get invites? Because you know.. some are saying no.. lol”
Jade replied, “To my knowledge, every mother gets an invitation to come.”
Another fan repeated the question and asked Cheyenne why all the Teen Moms weren’t on the show, to which she replied, “Everybody is invited.”
However, Mackenzie told fans she was unaware that the network would continue with the spin-off series after a fan questioned her absence.
The 27-year-old wrote back: “I’ve been told the show isn’t even going. But life is good. What’s meant to happen.”
MTV announced the new show – a clock party – back in December 2021, revealing it will play the 4th role Young mother companion – Cheyenne, Catelynn Lowell, Books about Maci and Amber Portwood – react to episodes of the show.
The network released a trailer for the show on Tuesday, along with a preview for Teen Moms Family Reunion.
When the show was announced, the network teased several “surprise appearances”, Starcasm is speculated to include husband and children.
The website suggests that Mackenzie could appear, but notes that she has “failed” with her co-stars.
In October, several months before the show was announced, Catelynn shared a behind-the-scenes shot from what appears to be a promotional shoot for the show.
The photos – which do not include Mackenzie – have raised questions from fans about why there is no Teen Mom OG star.
When Mackenzie shared a her own behind-the-scenes footage on TikTok and Instagram, fans seized the opportunity to ask what was up.
The post was captioned: “Learn to find your self-worth through the way God sees you. He chose YOU for this world.
“Our self-worth is not to be determined by others.”
One fan commented: “Aren’t you going to the Teen Mom family gathering?”
Mackenzie replied, “I wasn’t invited.”
She then shared a post about being “abandoned”, unite with others who have been there.
The Oklahoma native wrote: “To whoever was once the only one left out…my love to you.
“It’s certainly not easy on your mental health.
“Choose to always remember exactly how you feel and never engage in it with anyone else.
“Be bigger and better than that.”
Filming begins in January, after the election.
The Teen Mom star wrote: “Sorry, no. There are so many amazing women in the world for my daughters to admire and look up to as role models.
“Kamala Harris is not one of them.”
She added: “It got me thinking that out of all the amazing women of color in this world, that’s the one who’s making history.”
Mackenzie faced backlash from her followers, who called her “ignorant” and “stupid”.
One Reddit user wrote: “Wow. This is horrible. How are people STILL so stupid?”
She is still facing fall out the result is, however.
