Jenelle, 31, shocked fans by revealing a method MTV used to obfuscate its re-recording schedule.

The reality star took to her TikTok last month to share a throwback clip of Leah Messer from the show that was reposted by a fansite.

In the video, the Teen Mom star had a wild hairstyle of bright platinum blonde hair, heavy bangs and a ponytail that is a stark contrast to her natural light brown.

The fan captioned the clip: “POV: You are a professional hairstylist and watch the staged Teen Mom scenes where they forced the girls to wear cheap wigs to camouflage the reshoot schedule. “

The post then cut to a video of Jenelle in her car, wearing a pink sweatshirt, as she confirmed MTV’s secret maneuver.

“This is true. They thought they were sneaky,” she wrote.

Shocked by the wig situation, fans took to the comments to ask Jenelle to share more behind-the-scenes details.

The reality stars often experimented with different hairstyles during their appearances on the series.

The most memorable moments came from Teen Mom 2, where both Chelsea and Leah sported interesting hairpieces throughout the show’s ten-year run.

Not far from Chelsea’s current hair color, the mother-of-four previously sported a dark brown wig in a throwback episode.

The MTV grad once expressed regret over her hair choice in a December 2016 tweet, calling the wig “disgusting.”

“Can we talk about that disgusting wig? I had dyed my hair and they made me wear it, I cried for about an hour before I did it,” she wrote, referring to the network’s insistence that the cast wear wigs after major hair color changes had the earlier seasons.

A Reddit user also recalled earlier episodes and shared a snap of Chelsea with the curly updo.

They captioned the TV star’s somber looking picture: “Rewatching TM2. How did I NEVER notice this hot mess of a wig Chelsea was wearing?! Jesus God.”

The 31-year-old left some fans fooled when comments followed from those who were shocked the piece wasn’t her actual hair.

“I usually get to choose a wig, didn’t think that was a wig lol,” replied one.
