Teen mom Catelynn Lowell sparks concern after revealing she’s ‘sick’ and Tyler Baltierra ‘holding the fort’

TEEN Mom star Catelynn Lowell has sent a heartfelt message to her husband Tyler Baltierra that he’s stepped up while she’s unwell.

Earlier this week, fans expressed their concerns about the MTV star after she shared a cryptic post on social media that alluded to complex relationship dynamics and was seen as “the bad guy.”

Catelynn, 31, posted a series of sweet family photos – most of whom were noticeably absent – along with some kind words for her husband Tyler, also 31.

The photos appeared to be flashbacks, at least for the most part.

She revealed in the post that she was under the weather and thanked her high school sweetheart for getting up so she could recover.

The Teen Mom star wrote: “Thank you hubby for everything you do for me and our family!!! Moms sick and dads hold the fort!

“I am incredibly grateful and blessed to have a man like you! I love you so much!”

The first photo in the bunch was of Tyler with her second daughter, Vaeda.

The father-daughter duo all smiled as they bundled up against the Michigan cold.

Tyler had a translucent wand in his hand in no time.

A second picture showed Tyler again, this time with an arm around him and Catelynn’s daughter, Novalee.

The tot was dressed in a happy outfit and made a heart shape with her hands.

She had a massive bow on her head and wore her hair in a neat updo.

Novalee wore makeup, including lipstick and what appeared to be eyeshadow.

Catelynn appeared in the third photo of the bunch, posing next to her longtime love.

The couple appeared to be enjoying a large body of water.

Tyler pulled a face into the camera while Catelynn licked the side of his face.

In another moment, the MTV dad rocked his youngest child Rya and kissed her sweetly on the cheek.

Catelynn also included a photo Tyler took of himself posing in a mirror in skinny pants and a black shirt, and a photo of them together at Teen Mom star Cheyenne Floyd’s wedding in September 2022.

Tyler emerged in the comments to thank his wife for her enthusiastic remarks and to reassure her that he’s only doing the right thing.

He wrote: “Aw babe! I don’t do anything special that other husbands wouldn’t do when their wife is sick lol but thanks!

“Now hurry home so I can make you more of your favorite smoothies and milkshakes hahaha I love you so much!”

Catelynn and Tyler are also parents to an older daughter named Carly, whom they put up for adoption while they were still in high school.

Catelynn’s post about her illness came amid deep concern from fans.

Earlier this week, the Teen Mom: The Next Chapter star opened up to her fans about toxic family members amid a feud with her sister Sarah Haviland.

Last month, Catelynn and Tyler defended themselves against their younger sister’s nasty claims that her older sister’s trauma was fabricated for the sake of a story.

The reality TV personality once had custody of her sister but gave it up due to Sarah’s “unruly” behavior.

Catelynn’s last post read: “Nah sis we are good. I wish you the best, but we’re not friends.”

She continued, “I was kind of upset by the way you made me the villain I wasn’t.

“I understand. You needed someone to blame and project onto.

Her post ended with, “I wish you all the best. I hope you’re still eating, yes. But my table now has assigned seats.”

The post was shared on a Teen Mom Reddit page, where a fan asked, “Who is this about?”

A second person replied, “I assume her sister.”

Another fan asked: “Couldn’t she just tag her sister or DM her directly?

They continued: “It would have been easier. But no, she just had to put it on display so everyone would see and she would get some attention.”

“Huge loss on the part of her sister,” wrote a fourth.

Teen Mom supporters had renewed concerns for Cate after she went live on Instagram earlier this month.

Several viewers commented that she looked “exhausted” and wondered if she was okay.

In the video, Catelynn prepared dinner for her family while chatting with her followers.

She was standing at her kitchen sink and looking at the camera.

She said nothing for a few moments – apparently waiting for viewers to interject with questions and/or comments.

Her short purple hair was tied back in a messy ponytail with her bangs hanging loosely.

She wore a black sweatshirt with a Jurassic Park logo that read, “Motherhood is a walk in the park.”

After a few quiet moments, Catelynn appeared to answer a question and said, “Yes, we’re filming for the show,” without going into details, and continued cleaning up her kitchen.

The post made it to Reddit, where fans expressed concern at how “tired” Catelynn looked.

One person wrote: “She literally doesn’t care about her looks. She doesn’t even have a real job and still manages to look like she just rolled out of bed in every one of her videos.”

“Agreed. She looks awful,” replied another. “I don’t understand why she doesn’t try it for herself (first) and then for her husband. I always want to look good for my fiancé. It’s just weird that she looks 40 years old.”

Another reviewer wrote, “My first thought was literally ‘she looks exhausted’ and I thought it was probably the whole thing with three kids but she still smokes too so that might play a big part too lol.”

However, one fan came to her defense, writing: “She has 3 children. Work is a vacation from my 1 child. If I were a stay-at-home mom, I’d probably look worse than her and I’ve always made an effort to look.”

Another agreed with the writing: “I think we’re just so used to seeing the other moms with botox, fillers, injections, heavy hair and makeup routines, etc. I think she looks like a pretty typical overweight mother of 3 early 30’s gets no work done on her face or body. She would fit right into my neighborhood.
