Teen Fresno’s touching story wins $1,000 for local cat rescue Cat House on the Kings from Petco

A Fresno teenager named John has adopted a cat named Katie, and it’s lightning love.
In caring for Katie, John, who has autism, was confident in his abilities.
From more than 20,000 stories across the country, only 100 won the prize – one of which was John’s story.
That story brought the local animal rescue organization – The Cat House on the Kings – a $1,000 grant from Petco Love.
John says the opportunity is an opportunity to give back to the animal organization that brought them together.
John said: “As a boy with autism, I sometimes feel like I can’t do things that normal people can do, like take care of people. But Katie has given me the confidence to do things. take care of her”.
John will also receive BOBS from Skechers shoes and indulge in Petco shopping to pamper their beloved pet.
