Team news kicks off at 3pm: Three new Premier League managers take over

Six Premier League matches take place this afternoon, with three of them featuring new head coaches.

Norwich City, Aston Villa and Newcastle United all play at home as Dean Smith, Steven Gerrard and Eddie Howe take charge of their respective clubs for the first time, although Howe will manage ‘from afar’ after tested positive for Covid-19.

The Canaries face Southampton, Villa host Brighton and Hove Albion, and the Magpies welcome Brentford to St James’ Park.

The other three matches that start on traditional time are Burnley v Crystal Palace, Watford v Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United.

There is no indication of a much-anticipated 4-4-2 formation at Tyneside as Howe appears to be using a full-back system for the clash with Brentford. His three changes see Fabian Schar instead of, replace Emil Krafth behind, Joe Willock go in for Isaac Hayden in midfield and Joelinton instead of, replace Miguel Almiron widen.

In fact, it’s Thomas Frank who seems to have retreated to number four – which may be seen Bryan Mbeumo transition to a broader role. Mads Roerslev and Saman Ghoddos instead of, replace Zanka and Mathias Jensen in the starting XI of the Ong manager.

Smith recalls Todd Cantwell and Billy Gilmour to his starting XI, with a return fit Grant Hanley go back, too. Andrew Omobamidele and Pierre Lees-Melou dropped onto the bench, while Kieran Dowell miss.

Ralph Hasenhuttl’s only change seems to work, with Ibrahima Diallo in the absence Stuart Armstrong. Armando Broja is a substitute.

Three is the magic number for the new Premier League manager, when Gerrard’s hat-trick changed: Ezri Konsa, Jacob Ramsey and Danny Ings back, with Axel Tuanzebe, Anwar El Ghazi and Leon Bailey clear the way.

The opposite number Graham Potter is better than one, with Jason Steele, Adam Webster, Pascal Gross and Jakub Moder to Brighton. Joel Veltman, Solly March and Enock Mwepu all dropped out, while Robert Sánchez suspended.

At Vicarage Road, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s hand begins Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Nemanja Matic at the cost of Mason Greenwood, Eric Bailly and Fred. Greenwood missed out after testing positive for Covid-19.

Claudio Ranieri also made a triple change, with Adam Masina, Imran Louza and Tom Cleverley in cho Danny Rose, Ozan Tufan and forbidden Juraj Kucka.

It’s a change every time at Molineux like Daniel Podence instead of, replace Francisco Trincao, and Craig Dawson are staying for the wounded Angelo Ogbonna. Raul Jimenez start for Wolves after returning late from international duty.

Sean Dyche named a team unchanged but Patrick Vieira made two changes: Luka Milivojevic to the wounded James McArthur, when Jordan Ayew take precedence over branch Odsonne Edouard in the attack.
