TAYLOR Swift’s alleged new boyfriend Matty Healy was spotted supporting her at a concert in Nashville.
The seemingly new romance comes just weeks after the anti-hero singer and her longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn called it quits.
Taylor, 33, took the stage in Music City to perform to an eager crowd of fans, family and more famous faces in her hometown.
Swifties spotted the Grammy-winner’s alleged boyfriend, 1975 frontman Matty, 34, taking the show from a private VIP area.
He kept it casual in a blue flannel shirt over a black tee.
He was surrounded by a handful of other people including Julien Baker and Gracie Abrams – who is an opener on the Eras tour.
A photo of the musician was tweeted by a fan-run Twitter account with the caption, “MATTY HEALY at #NashvilleTSTheErasTour #TSTheErasTour.”
The sighting came amid reports that the two were preparing to go public at the concert.
After the photo of Matty in the audience at Taylor’s show surfaced on Twitter, the social media site was flooded with fan reactions.
One fan tweeted, “LMAOOOOOOOOOO either this is real or Taylor and Matty are doing the funniest thing they can do right now.”
Another wrote on Twitter: “This thing with Taylor and Matty can’t be serious.”
A third fan tweeted, “Why am I sweating thinking about Taylor and Matty I miss if that was a joke.”
Someone else speculated, “I have a feeling Taylor and Matty know all about the rumors so they’re playing with us.”
Another tweet about the alleged relationship read, “Taylor and Matty’s dating is something I would never believe, but I can only imagine the songs they could write about each other after their breakup.”
A sixth Twitter user suggested: “Has it ever occurred to you that maybe Taylor and Matty are just friends and he’ll just be a special guest like she was earlier this year???”
In addition to all the critics, there were also many supporters of the relationship.
One wrote: “I’m so honestly here for this.”
Taylor and Matty have been friends for almost 10 years and also have many mutual friends.
Before their romantic reunion, the All Too Well singer was in a six-year relationship with British actor Joe, 32.
Her ex has also reportedly moved on and was last linked to Scottish actress Emma Laird.
The two met while filming The Brutalist in Hungary.
SO IN LOVE?
Just weeks after her split from Joe, a source close to Taylor exclusively told The US Sun: “She and Matty are madly in love.
“It’s super early but it feels right. They first dated very briefly almost ten years ago, but the timing just didn’t work out.
“Taylor and Joe actually broke up in February, so there was absolutely no crossover.
“Both Matty and Taylor have been touring for the past few weeks so it’s been a lot of face timing and texting but she can’t wait to see him again.
“But as two international megastars, they understand the pressures of each other’s jobs better than anyone and are incredibly supportive of their respective careers.
“They are both very proud and excited about this relationship and unlike Taylor’s last relationship – which was deliberately kept very out of the spotlight – she wants to ‘own’ this romance and not hide it.
“Taylor just wants to live her life and be happy. She has told her friends that Matty is flying to Nashville over the weekend to support her on the next leg of her tour.”
The insider added, “Taylor’s friends are absolutely thrilled because they think she and Matty are a great match.
“Bringing two such famous names together obviously means a lot of fan attention and a LOT of eyeballs on the couple.
“But Matty and Taylor are sane enough and famous enough to handle it. Both have been – often wrongly – put through the wringer on a global scale.
“But the bottom line is that they’re both brilliant, smart, kind people and they just have each other’s backs.”
Fans have been keeping a close eye on the Grammy-winning British crooner for some time.
Taylor is known for dropping Easter eggs in her videos, and some speculate that she has done the same in her personal life.
Swifties have noticed some striking details, convenient timing and other “hints” that the singers are more than just friends.
In January, Taylor surprised fans by appearing onstage at London’s O2 during the first night of The 1975’s ‘At Their Very Best’ tour.
She played The City and Anti-Hero throughout the show and was hailed as “The Queen” by Matty.
Taylor was then photographed backstage with the singer’s famous mother, Denise Welch, which set social media on fire.
The excitement grew after details of her split from Joe were leaked on April 8, which also happens to be Matty’s birthday.
Fans suggested the dirt was a “gift” to her new husband.
Last month, the indie singer appeared to reference Taylor’s hugely successful Eras tour while discussing his decision to leave all social media.
Matty explained at the time: “Everything happens in epochs.
“The 1975 is a very old band. The era of me fucking a **hole is coming to an end.”
Taylor and Matty have a long history.
They became closer in 2014 — the same year Taylor wore a 1975 t-shirt to one of her performances.
In November 2022, Matty confirmed his band had teamed up with Taylor for a song on their album Midnights.
However, the track didn’t make it into the final cut, so fans never got to hear it.
