NFL STAR Taylor Lewan has urged fans not to “overreact” after a recent Twitter post caused an uproar.
Lewan, 31, was recently released by the Tennessee Titans after nine seasons in Nashville.
After the news, he posted a photo of his belongings, which had been left at the Titans’ facility and left in garbage bags on his doorstep.
Lewan titled the post: “Calling out to the @Titans who are dropping off my stuff today.
“They even let me keep the shoulder pads. [salute emoji]”
However, fans weren’t impressed with the way his stuff was handled, with one commenting: “So much for all the hard work.”
While one commented: “[sad face emoji] Thank you for your service to our Titans, not impressed with the gear presentation split!”
Lewan has since taken to Twitter to address criticism of the Titans.
