SXSW 2022: How to buy tickets?

SXSW is a festival that celebrates different art forms such as music, film and comedy.
29th edition of SXSW . Festival is returning in person after two years online due to the coronavirus pandemic.
How can I buy tickets to see SXSW 2022?
According to the SXSW website, this year’s festival will have a hybrid component.
There are a total of five “badges” to choose from to acquire visit the festival.
Sign up for badges that can be purchased exclusively on SXSW website.
The badges include:
- Platinum badge (primary access to all events)
- Interactive Badge (primary access to interactive events)
- Movie Badge (primary access to cinema events)
- Music Badge (main access to music events)
There is also an online card for those who choose virtual attendance.
The online pass will only grant the user access to online events according to the website.
What is the fare for SXSW?
Since there are different badges to choose from, the price is different for each pack.
Online tickets start at $459 and will go up to $519 as a “March walking rate”.
Here are the prices of other badges:
- Platinum – $1675 or $1925 in March
- Interactive – $1420 or $1670 March Walk
- Movies – $1345 or $1595 March Walk
- Music – $1345 or $1595 March Walk
The site also claims that the subscription rate will increase at 11:59 p.m. PT on February 10, 2022.
