On Thursday morning, the San Francisco Police Department announced the arrest of suspect Nima Momeni, a 38-year-old Emeryville resident who appeared to have a possible connection to Lee.
Not only does the suspect’s information match a man who owns and operates a company called Expand IT, but police believe Lee and Momeni knew each other prior to the stabbing, according to local Oakland Fox News KTVU.
Authorities claimed that the two may have been driving through downtown San Francisco together that fateful night.
Lee’s ex-wife Krista also confirmed the suspect’s identity early Thursday morning, breaking her silence on the situation when she called Momeni a “soulless piece of shit,” per the Daily Beast.

She also told the KTVU that the arrest was “the first step toward justice.”
Krista explained that the SFPD will continue to update her on the situation.
