Susanna Gibson’s NSFW video scandal involving mother-of-two and Democratic candidate husband accuses rivals of sex crimes

A Virginia state House of Representatives candidate uploaded live sex videos with her husband and asked viewers to “tip” her for special requests.
Susanna Gibson is a Democratic candidate for a seat in the Virginia House of Delegates.
Gibson, a nurse and mother of two, refused to drop out of the race after public calls for her to do so.
Several livestreams were recorded by Gibson and her husband, lawyer John David, on the adult website Chaturbate.
Over a dozen streams were archived and posted on a publicly accessible website called Recurbate in September 2022 after she competed in the House Race The Washington Post.
It’s not clear when the live streams were recorded, but the last videos on Recurbate were archived on September 30, 2022 and then made unavailable on Saturday.

Gibson had paused in the videos to encourage viewers to purchase and send “tokens” on the site, verbally agreeing to perform certain actions in a “private room” for those paying.
In some videos, she said she was “raising money for a good cause.”
After a viewer requested a specific act, Gibson refused unless more money was spent.
She said, “I need more tokens before I let him do that.
“A token, no. More. Collecting money for a good cause.”
Asking viewers to pay for certain actions is a blatant violation of Chaturbate’s Terms and Conditions.
The terms and conditions state: “The request or demand for specific tipping actions can lead to the exclusion of everyone involved from the platform.”
Gibson, 40, called viewing the videos a violation of privacy and accused her rivals of sex crimes.
She described it as: “An illegal invasion of my privacy aimed at humiliating me and my family.”
“They’re trying to silence me because they want to silence you, and I won’t let that happen.
“My political opponents and their Republican allies have proven that they are willing to commit a sexual crime to attack me and my family because there is no line they will not cross to silence women when they are speak up.”
It is unknown who archived these videos, but a “Republican operative” alerted The Washington Post to the videos Newspaper.
Gibson said: “My opponent and his allies know that the people of this district are with us on these issues, so they are engaging in the worst of gutter politics.
“There is too much at stake in this election and I will never stop fighting for our community.”
She will face her Republican opponent David Owen on November 7 in the contested suburban 57th House District.
Gibson’s attorney, Daniel P. Watkins, claimed that distributing the videos would violate Virginia’s revenge porn laws.
Watkins told this Associated Press: “A criminal act has occurred here, namely the distribution of revenge porn by a Republican agent.”
Corey D. Silverstein, an adult industry attorney, claimed the act was not illegal and praised Gibson.
Silverstein said, “There is absolutely no law they are breaking, none.”
“In this case, you have two adults having consensual sex and they have decided that they want to broadcast that and they are doing it in exchange for tips.

“I think it’s fantastic that there is someone who has an open sex life.
“It’s actually very refreshing.”
