Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas hospitalized with infection – CBS Pittsburgh

WASHINGTON (AP) – Judge Clarence Thomas was hospitalized with an infection, the Supreme Court said Sunday.
Thomas, 73, has been going to Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, DC, since Friday after experiencing “flu-like symptoms,” the court said in a statement.

The court gave no explanation as to why they had to wait two days to announce that justice was in the hospital.
It also did not provide further details about the infection but said Thomas was being treated with antibiotics and his symptoms were in remission.

The court said he could be released in the next few days.
The Supreme Court will meet this week to hear arguments in four cases. The court said Thomas plans to participate in the lawsuits even if he omits arguments.
Thomas has been playing since 1991.
