SUPREME Court Judge Clarence Thomas was hospitalized Friday with “flu-like symptoms”, the court’s public information office said.
“He has undergone examinations, has been diagnosed with an infection and is being treated with intravenous antibiotics,” reads the court’s press release.
“His symptoms are in remission, he is resting comfortably and he is expected to be discharged in a day or two. Justice Thomas will participate in the review and discussion of any case in which he is not present on the basis of summaries, transcripts and audio of oral arguments. “
All judges are vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19. They are expected to sit on the bench on Monday morning for debate.
The Supreme Court will meet this week to hear arguments in four cases. Thomas has been playing since 1991.
