Sunshine returns Monday and warmer temperatures expected this week – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – After a sunny but cool, mild Sunday, we will see clouds return tonight as a cold front sweeps over our region.
Awareness:
- Areas further north of us could see some heavy snowfall tonight, mainly north of I-80.
- Looks like they might let flood notices for the Ohio River at the Pittsburgh/Allegheny Company expire at 7 p.m. tonight. The river crests this morning and is descending. Ben Mon is still flooded and closed.

That would bring up the possibility of some sleet further north, mostly north of I-80, tonight but mostly nothing but a few clouds for most of us.

Those of you in Clarion, Mercer, Venango and Jefferson Counties are likely to see a heavy or light sleet late tonight. As the front passes, the skies will clear and the winds will stop but temperatures will bottom out again in the lower to mid-20s tonight.
The sun is back on Monday with lower 40s highs (weather for the last day of February)!
Then Temps warm midweek with 50s highs and chance for some showers Wednesday night. We can flirt with 60 degrees over the weekend!
